Using an old, vulnerable version of Joomla (1.5 or 2.5) is dangerous and sooner or later it will probably end up causing a troublesome infection on the site. The same applies to the Joomla 3 version, which is supported until August 2023 only.

Migrating a page from an old Joomla is often a complicated and laborious process.

Especially if you need to migrate content from Joomla 1.0 or 1.5 or 2.5.

In such cases, the differences in the structure of databases between the old version and the current one are so large that gradual migration is necessary (eg Z 1.0 to 1.5, from 1.5 to 2.5 to 3.5 and finally to 4.x).

Usually, you also have to look for contemporary equivalents for old components or modules and migrate their contents separately.
